Dedicating Baby David.

Pastor Tim was able to perform a baby dedication on his own brand new grandson, Baby David. It was neat to witness this event. Pastor Tim has been able to dedicate all three of his grandchildren. Wonderful.

Pastor Tim Newman

Pastor Tim and his wife flew from Hawaii to visit his daughter Melissa and Tokorozawa missionary Peter Scott. This Sunday the students helped the kids ministry at CCTokorozawa and I was able to hear Pastor Tim teach. It was encouraging.

Imperial Palace.

After visiting Ameyoko Dori the students headed down to Tokyo station and visited the Imperial Palace. The Imperial Palace is home to the Emperor of Japan. The grounds that the Palace is located is the world's most expensive ground.

AmeyokoDori

Right next to Ueno Park is a street called Ameyoko Dori. Ameyoko is a street that offers a variety of customer products from fish to shoes. Ameyoko is a good place to see if you're visiting the Mainland.

Ueno Park.

Saturday is the SOS student's day off to go and see what makes Tokyo so special. The students were able to visit the famous Ueno Park. Here is Jake posing his modeling posture for the camera.

Continuing to build.

The Lord continues to show goodness to the College. We are able to put up a TV to help with the classes that will be streamed online. Pastor Tom was able to visit us while making his way back down to Okinawa and install the TV mound.

Orientation/ Fellowship

After the orientation the SOS students went to the famous "Sushi-Ro" down the street from the college. The guys had a blast. Many of the have never experienced Sushi. It has all changed now.

Missionary Model.

Here's a picture of Eder Diaz sporting his new hairdo. Totally thought it was fake but I was wrong. Looks good Eder. Please keep Eder and Amanda Diaz in your prayers as they are expecting their first child later in the year. The Diaz couple are serving as missionaries up in the northern area of Okinawa with CC Nago with Pastor Tim and family.

They're here.

The SOS group has arrived safely from Okinawa. They will finish the rest of their two weeks here in Tokyo helping with WeGoEigo's summer school program. Please pray for them. Here they are taking the train like real "Tokyoites".

Hannah has been busy making clothes for the kids play at the daycare. Hannah is a wonderful seamstress. She does a good job a seeing and fixing clothes. I'm next with my shorts!

Certified to save lives!

Tokito and a couple other WeGoEigo teachers were able to participate in a CPR training course. Tokito passed and the card is the proof. Good job Tokito, Go save lives!

A break in the weather.

It has been hot around the Tokyo metropolitan with the weather reaching to 33C (90'F) with the humidity to the same percentage. God gave us a nice break from the heat with cool weather. Last night I slept with a blanket. Crazy in this time of July, thank you God.

Stepping out.

Today at the morning devotional breakfast Pastor Santou shared. Pastor Santou stepped out of his comfort zone and shared in English. It is not easy speaking a second language especially when you sharing out of Gods Word. But it was great to hear. Good job Pastor Santou.

Surfing at Kamakura!

Today was a national holiday dedicated to having a fun time at the beach. A group decided to go down to Kamakura to surf the waves. Kamakura is a very old town dating back to the time of the Samurais but now has adopted the surfing culture. I have never seen so many surfers here in Japan. It was special to surf the waves while Mt.Fuji stood in the background.

A clear day.

Never have I seen the city of Tokyo so clear on a day like today. This picture was taken on the famous "Rainbow Bridge" while driving to Kamakura.

CCFuchu Barbeque

CCFuchu held a Barbeque up in Okutama. God really blessed us as the weather forecast said it was going to rain all day but by God's Grace He held the water back. It was a blast to fellowship, eat and relax by the river.

Watermelon!

Watermelon is not a cheap fruit in Japan. A "cheap" watermelon can cost anywhere from $45 to $65 dollars. It was a blessing for the school to have been blessed with watermelon from my aunt.

Great artist.

Here are some pictures Nathan drew for the kids at the daycare. What great drawing. All the kids started arguing on who can take the drawings home. They were disappointed when I said they could not take them home.

Seibu Lions

One of the moms from the daycare blessed Rich with free tickets to the Seibu Lions vs Rakuten Eagles. Japanese baseball games are different from America's favorite pastime. Each team's fans are allowed to take turns to root and cheer for their team. You wouldn't see that ever between a Dodgers vs Giants game. Crazy!

Okinawa boy!

It was a surprise to see Yoshua at Tatsu's house. Yoshua came up from Okinawa to attend Alex's wedding and also to visit Aya's church in Nagano. Please continue to pray for Yoshua as he is full time serving at CC Ginowan and CCBC Okinawa.

Party at Tatsuhiko's house.

Tatsuhiko invited many of the high school and college age people over to his house to eat his Mom's homemade Karage (Fried Chicken). The fellowship was good along with the countless pieces of fried chicken. It doesn't get any better than that.

Park Service

Calvary West Tokyo hosts a park service every first Sunday of July. Also many other Calvaries got together to joins (CC Fuchu, CC Tokorozawa). It was a really great time in joining church services together and downing the afternoon fellowshipping and playing sports. It was supposed to rain all day but God held back the rain until later afternoon. God is good!

Sushi Fellowship

After the wedding, those who are staying at the Bible College went out for Sushi. It was a blessing because we had Takako (Front Left) with us. Takako recently came back from Israel. While Natsuki (back Right) came up from Okinawa. Great time.
